With An Unplanned Smile

I definitely wrote the date as July 2nd today on the bag of fresh peas I was bagging and putting in the freezer -- woops!

Things that fall out include:

I am happy with the amount of music in my life lately. I am not sure if it is happening because I need to think about something, or because I need to not think about something - but either way it is very nice. Banjo, guitar, little violin, singing...

Hey if today is July 3rd that means tomorrow is the 4th. Hm. What to do. I think I shall celebrate: I have been at Embercombe for officially one month! :) Feeling just as patriotic as ever and a bit cheeky ;)

Kitchen time = chopping, gathering, cleaning, mixing, tasting... it is really fascinating working with different people in the kitchen. This morning Vikki and I made lunch (I came in about an hour before serving time because I was working with Natalie, Fi, and the horses) and it was very calm and laid back. Not that it wasn't working with Toni to prep dinner but it certainly felt different. I think I have taken one tea break this week. Currently I am ok with that, as has been the case with all but one tea break so far (and that was only because I really had to pee.)

Thinking about people I am not with but not in a sad way. Not wishing, just thinking.

The space I am often in when on the computer is not that great: the volunteer office space. The sound and company is uncontrollable and it is not very inspiring. Shame. That is all right, I am in inspiring and beautiful spaces about every other moment here at Embercombe. Breathe takingly beautiful (people, land, jobs, sounds) are so natural here (as in what I have grown accustomed to) and what I am surrounded by all the time!

Patty and Ronan got back today :) Later than expected (Patty by a few hours, Ronan by a few days) -- it is good to have them back!

I have doing a really good job at living life lately and seeing where my feet take me and where I find my heart. I keep catching myself doing something and realize - hm! Not quite sure how I got to be doing this but I am glad I am! It is brilliant :) Going to do that and see what happens for the next few hours.
