Dirt Under my Nails, Sun Kissed Skin, And Tired Satisfaction

I woke up feeling more tired than I feel now at the end of working all day (even without my 3 o'clock tea break). Working in the garden continues to feel really nice. I finished planting the kohlrabi, started and finished planting the cabbage, and was part of the leak team.
Standing on a plank of wood (so as to not pack down the soil too much by putting weight only where we placed out feet) on the top of a garden bed using a metal post and melodically going in and out was very therapeutic. Someone offered to take my place since I had been doing it for a while and I said I am alright because in fact I was quite enjoying myself.
The plans for this evening include eating dinner, possibly a quick swim, movie night (Into the Wild), and a good bye party for Lucas. I am bummed I did not connect with him earlier - we had a lovely conversation about the education system in Germany over lunch. It was clear we were both enjoying the conversation and each other's company. He leaves Embercombe Sunday morning and has school on Monday. Yikes. I thought I jumped from one thing to another, he does too - with just hours in between.
Now I am sitting down I feel very restful. If I could teleport I would do so to the lake. And then teleport back up the hill and to the picnic tables where we all eat. We will see if I am still hot and in the mood for a swim after dinner (and before the movie begins.)
Embercombe is constantly changing - that is part of the beauty, challenge, and life.
